What is your service zone?

There is virtually no limit to our service zone; our service is open to everyone, everywhere. However, when a request is made from outside our normal service area (From Décarie to Iberville, and from Jean-Talon to the Saint Lawrence River), additional time spent on your task will be factored in the total amount of your order. In any case, you will always be informed of the price and the estimated completion time of your request before accepting it.

 


What are your business hours?

We are open 7 days a week, from 11 a.m. to  midnight!

 


How much does it cost?

For time actively spent working on your request, our rate is 26$ / hour, billed by the minute. Because we work with estimates based on prior similar tasks we have completed, we will always be able to tell you the exact price of your request before you accept. For a typical restaurant delivery, our price will be similar, and often inferior, to what you would pay with other multi-restaurant delivery services, because even a "free delivery" contains a 20 to 30% markup added over the item's in-restaurant price. With us, you bypass the markup and, since you don't have to tip, you only pay the item's original price, plus our service rate.

 


Who am I talking to when I'm chatting with Genie?

You are chatting with a member from our team of personal assistants who are specially trained to answer a wide range of requests, from the usual restaurant order to the complicated work related task. Our team is composed of highly motivated, resourceful university graduates who are eager to face a variety of challenges 7 days a week, 365 days a year.


Do you take a "cut" on the products I'm buying through Genie?

Outside of Stripe's credit card processing fee (2.9% + $0.30), we do not add any fees to the price of the product bought on your behalf.


Can I be refunded for a product I bought?

In the event of a refund request, we will contact the store from which we bought the product for you and ask for reimbursement When they accept the request, we will pass it on to you and apply a credit on your credit card. However, it is important to note that the nature of the service we offfer - a personal assistant on demand- means that you are not buying a product directly from us; we are buying products on your behalf. Consequently, we cannot guarantee every refund request will be granted because refund policies vary from store to store. 


Do I have to tip for deliveries?

No tip is expected from you because we pay our personal assistants on the ground a fair and competitive wage.

 


How do I pay for the service / product I requested?

We charge you once for both the amount of the service / product and our own service rate. All payments are processed online through Stripe's payment platform. Depending on your preference, you can pay for each task through a payment link, or ask us to open an account and securely store your credit card information in our files for a simplified and faster checkout experience.

Am I billed when I chat with Genie?

Unless the conversation is directly related to a task you requested (for example, "wake me up each morning with a motivational message!"), you will not be billed for questions you might have about the service we offer. Come say "Hi!" from time to time :)
